People of a certain age will remember only too well Pastor Martin Niemöller’s poignant lament that as the Nazis hunted down groups one by one, those outside the target groups kept their head down and voice quiet in order to stay out of trouble. 

“Then they came for me and there was no one left to speak for me.”

 Dr. Fauci rationalized the use of "draconian" public health policies to pursue a greater good—and caused irreparable harm to the American people and Constitution as a result.

On February 7, 1968, after American military forces rained rockets, napalm, and bombs on the village of Ben Tre in South Vietnam, killing hundreds of civilians, Associated Press reporter Peter Arnett quoted a military officer’s justification of the event.

There is a thunderstorm rolling in. The rumble is in the distance, but it is nonetheless on its way. There is a threat of rain and I keep looking out the window to see what will happen. Do I shut my windows and doors before it hits? Or do I let the breeze come in and enjoy the air that is blowing in from the storm that is brewing? Yet the thunder rolls and becomes louder and I wonder how long I should wait before “ shutting up shop. “

The lightning is just a flash of light on the horizon and the rain merely a scatter. But the storm is coming. Am I prepared?

I can feel the tension in the air and it makes me wonder if I am about to get a downpour. Am I seeing the start of a storm that no window or door, no fence or lock can resist? I feel that a storm is upon us and it is gathering strength.

In August 2011, I participated in a brainstorming session held at Liberty University together with a number of conservative leaders, all of whom had been on the front lines of confronting LGBTQ activism.

As we discussed the impact of this activism on the nation, we asked ourselves what words we could find to help awaken the national conscience. What slogan or saying would capture our concerns and would appeal to the masses? One phrase we agreed on was: “Stop sexualizing our children!”

It was a year ago today since I lost my much loved Calico Lady. My cat, who shared so much with me during her life. 

As most of you know, we are a sentimental bunch here at Patriotrealm and I am probably one of the most sentimental of all. 

As the moment approaches, I want to reach out to all the animal lovers out there and celebrate the love they give us and the love they gave. 

In these sad and troubled times, their dedication, tolerance, and love sometimes keep us going. I wrote this a year ago and my emotions are just as strong as they were back then.
